“17th Wednesday fine winter & good sleighing I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 and went to bed at 9 nearly sick with a cold etc thermometer at 20 below zero.
“18th Thursday fine cold winter weather I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly sick with the rheumatism & a cold thurmometer at 20 degrees below zero.
“19th Friday fine winter weather & cool good sleighing I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly sick with the rheumatism & a cold thurmometer at 10 degrees below zero Rebeca Westly Wood died about this time in Vermont.
“20th Saturday fine winter weather I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly sick with the rheumatism & a cold etc thurmometer at 10 below zero.
“21st Sunday A fine pleasant winter day & thawed some I did my choars was at the house all day a choaring writing etc went to bed about 9 nearly sick & tiered out thurmometer at 10 degrees below zero.
“22nd Monday fine steady winter weather I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 and went to bed at 9 nearly sick with the rheumatism & cold.
“23rd Tuesday cold winter weather & good sleighing I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly sick with rheumatism & cold.”
