24th Wednesday  fine cold winter weather  I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly sick with the rheumatism & a cold

25th Thursday  fine cold winter weather  I did my choars  was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly sick with the rheumatism and a cold.

26th Friday  fine cold winter weather  I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly sick with the rheumatism & a cold  It thawed but little this past week but was the best of sleighing   Carrie Barrus came here after school & stayed till Sunday.

27th Saturday  fine winter weather  I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly sick with the rheumatism & a bad cold.

28th Sunday  A cold cloudy winter day,  & did not thaw any out of doors  I did my choars was round the office house all day writing some & choaring  I did my & went to bed at 9 nearly sick with rheumatism & cold  Charles Barrus took Carrie Barrus to her Uncle John Stricklands this afternoon.

March 1st Monday  fine winter weather but cold  I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 and went to bed at 9 nearly sick with the rheumatism.

2nd Tuesday  A cold winter weather for March  I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly sick with a cold & rheumatism  cold winter weather.”
