“24th Wednesday verry hot dry weather I did my choars was round the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick.
“25th Thursday verry hot weather & dry I did my choars was round the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick Ethel Walker & Sarah Carpenter were married today & Carpenter by Elder Button of Aurora and went to Aurora in to his house the first night showered a little.
“26th Friday A fine hot day I did my choars was round the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 ½ sick.
“27th Saturday A fine hot dry day I did my choars was round all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick 101 degrees Frank Wellman sheared my sheep.
“28th Sunday A fine hot pleasant day with a fine air I did my choars was round home all day closed up at & went to bed about 9 or after nearly sick with rheumatism I took 4 of Willas sheep up to the farm.
“29th Monday fine hot dry weather I did my choars was round the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick thurmometer at from 96 to 100 all this week in the middle of day.
“30th Tuesday A fine hot dry day I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick with a cold.”
