“17th Wednesday fine weather for the season I did my choars was round the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick.
“18th Thursday fine weather & a growing time I did my choars choared round the office closed up at 8 and went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick with a the rheumatism My old cow calved this afternoon & done well had a large calf.
“19th Friday fine growing weather I did my choars was round the office all day closed up at about 8 & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick with rheumatism etc.
“20th Saturday fine hot growing weather I did my choars was round the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed about 9 ½ nearly sick etc.
“21st Sunday A fine pleasant hot day I did my choars was round the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed about 9 ½ nearly sick with a cold.
“22nd Monday fine hot growing weather I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick with rheumatism [in margin] thurmometer at 96 & 98.
“23rd Tuesday fine weather & verry hot I did my choars was round the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick.”
