“27th Thursday rather a fine day with a foot of snow on the ground I did my choars choared round closed up at 8 & went to bed about 10 nearly sick Young ________ Willa Carpenters wives brother was married today to Patricks daughter north of Wheatons.
“28th Friday rather fine weather & thawed some I did my choars choared round some closed up about 8 & went to bed about 10 nearly sick with a cold J Dadey sawed wood for me today.
“29th Saturday A fine thawey day I did my choars choared round some closed up at 8 & went to bed at 10 sick Jerry Dady sawed wood for me today.
“30th Sunday A cloudy forenoon & rainey afternoon I did my choars went to the farm & watered my cattle an choared round sewed some grass seed and got home a little after noon wrote some etc went to bed about 9 [in margin] a rainey afternoon.
“31st Monday rather a cloudy damp nasty day I did my choars choared round some closed up at 8 & went to bed about 9 ½ nearly sick with a cold.
“April 1st Tuesday A misty nasty day with some flakes of snow I did my choars choared some closed up at 8 & went to bed at 10 about tiered out Town meeting S French elected road commissioner of the town & Fredenhagen elected Township School Trustee James Ward came to his mothers today.
“2nd Wednesday Some snow squalls I did my choars choared round some closed up at 8 & went to bed about 9 ½.”
