“27th Thursday cold winter weather I did my choars choared round some at house, closed up about 8 and went to bed about 10 nearly sick with a cold.
“28th Friday pretty cold weather for the season I did my choars choared round home some closed up about 8 & went to bed about 9 ½ nearly sick Mrs John Wallace had a daughter born this morning O A Procter came to Perrys tonight.
“March 1st Saturday A cool day & spit snow the most of the day I did my choars choared round some closed up about 8 & went to bed about 9 ½ nearly sick Caroline went to Naperville today in the stage Perry & wife got home from a visit near LaSalle.
“2nd Sunday A cloudy day & spit snow the most of the day, not verry cold I did my choars choared some up at the place fixed some fence etc went to bed between 9 & 10 about sick folks went to meeting in afternoon.
“3rd Monday pretty cool winter weather I did my choars choared round some closed up about 8 and went to bed about 9 ½ nearly sick with a cold.
“4th Tuesday pretty cool March weather I did my choars choared round the house some closed up at 8 & went to bed about 9 ½ nearly sick with a cold.
“5th Wednesday rather a thawey day but March weather I did my choars choared round some closed up at 8 and went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick with a cold.”
