“29th Thursday A fine day, some cloudy in morning I did my choars choared round some closed up at 8 & went to bed about 9 ½ tiard & lame & nearly sick My red cow got out & I drove her to Hoyts white bull at night before milking.
“30th Friday A cold morning & all most a frost I did my choars choared round some closed up about 8 & went to bed about 9 ½ nearly sick there was a dance at Mathers this evening Emma Stone went Caroline & Emma Stone went to Naperville this afternoon.
“31st Saturday A fine cold morning & most a frost cool day I did my choars choared round some closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick Emma Anesworth came here with her girle David brought her here he was a going to the Wheaton Picknick in Garys Woods.
“September 1st Sunday A fine cool pleasant morning & day I did my choars choared round the house a little went to the farm & went to bed about 9 nearly sick with a cold & was lame Emma Stone was here a little while Henry Barkdolls wife had a son born today.
“2nd Monday A pretty fine day & hot for Sept I did my choars choared round some all day closed up at 8 and went to bed about 9 ½ nearly sick with a cold.
“3rd Tuesday fine weather & verry hot I did my choars choared round the house some closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick Emma Anesworth to Wheaton Fair commenced at Wheaton.
“4th Wednesday A verry hot day & a shower at night I did my choars choared round some closed up at 8 and went to bed about 9 tiard & about sick.”
