“16th Thursday A cloudy & rather a lowerey day agrowing time I did my choars choared round all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick with a cold.
“17th Friday A cloudy day & rained some tonight growing weather I did my choars choared round all day closed up at 8 & went to bed about 9 ½ tiard & nearly sick.
“18th Saturday A cloudy damp forenoon cleared off in the afternoon & was cooler I did my choars, choared round the most of the day closed up at 8 & went to bed about 9 ½ nearly sick with a cold P Graves came up to see Emma my red checked heifer calved today, the boys went to Naperville today see them play ball whiped the Chicago boys at ball.
“19th Sunday rather a fine growing day but cloudy & damp I did my choars choared round some was up to the farm & choared round went to bed about 9 nearly sick.
“20th Monday rather a find day but some cloudy I did my choars choared round some closed up at 8 & went to bed about 9 ½ tiard & about sick.
“21st Tuesday A cloudy misty damp day I did my choars choared round all day closed up at 8 & went to bed about 10 nearly sick with a cold.
“22nd Wednesday cloudy damp weather a growing time I did my choars choared round all day closed up at 8 & went to bed about 10 tiard & nearly sick with a cold.”
