“3rd Wednesday A cold windy blustering morning & day & night verry tedious & all ice verry slipery I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 and went to bed at 9 nearly sick with the rheumatism thurmometer stood at 10 degrees below zero in morning & grew colder all day.
“4th Thursday A cold morning & day I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly sick with the rheumatism a cold the thurmometer stood at 22 degrees below zero in the morning & was a cold day.
“5th Friday A cold morning & day I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly sick with a cold & the rheumatism Thurmometer at 14 degrees below zero.
“6th Saturday A cold winter day I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly sick with rheumatism & a cold.
“7th Sunday A cold pleasant morning & day cold I did my choars was at the house all day writing choaring etc went to bed at 9 about sick thurmometer stood at 23 degrees below zero this morning pretty cold etc.
“8th Monday A cold winter day & quite cold sleighing I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly sick with rheumatism thurmometer at 18 dg below zero.
“9th Tuesday A cold winter day I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly sick with the rheumatism & cold thurmometer at 15 deg below zero.”
