“19th Wednesday  fine dry hot weather  I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 and went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick with a cold.

“20th Thursday  fine hot dry weather  I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick with the rheumatism.

“21st Friday  fine pleasant dry weather  I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick with rheumatism.

“22nd Saturday  fine weather for the season  I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick with the rheumatism.

“23rd Sunday  fine dry hot weather  I did my choars was round the office all day or house was at the farm went to bed about 9 oclock.

“24th Monday  fine dry hot weather  I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick with the rheumatism.

“25th Tuesday  dry hot weather  I did my choars was round the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick & used up  Crom thrashed oats for T W Watson up on my farm had 30s Bus out.”
