“23rd Wednesday fine weather for the season but verry dry I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly sick with the rheumatism etc.
“24th Thursday fine winter weather but dry I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 sick with the rheumatism & a cold Henry Rogers little girle died this morning about 9.
“25th Friday fine winter weather but verry dry I did my choars was round the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 sick A verry still Christmas Henry Rogers child was buried today.
“26th Saturday fine winter weather but dry I did my choars was round the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 sick with the rheumatism & a bad cold.
“27th Sunday A fine winter day but dry I did my choars was at the house all day except I went to farm a little while I did my choars & went to bed about 9 nearly sick with a cold etc D O’Connel was here & showed me several samples of tea he is a traveling agent.
“28th Monday fine weather for the season but dry I did my choars was round the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly sick with the rheumatism & a bad cold.
“29th Tuesday fine cool weather for winter I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly sick with the rheumatism & a cold.”
