“18th Thursday fine dry weather cool mornings & evenings I did my choars choared round the office some closed up at 8 ½ & went to bed about 9 ½ nearly sick.
“19th Friday fine dry weathercool mornings & evenings & hot in the middle of the day I did my choars choared the office some closed up at 8 ½ & went to bed about 9 ½ sick.
“20th Saturday A fine day some cloudy, hot in middle of day I did my choars choared round the office some closed up about 8 ½ & went to bed about 9 ½ nearly sick with a cold S B Hill paid up D Kenyon for farm & they went to Wheaton to cancil mortg Jay Vanderwolgan thrashed at my place, 500 bushel 1/3 mine part was 166-2/3.
“21st Sunday A cold cloudy morning pleasant & warm in middle of day I did my choars went to farm fixed straw stack & fence was at store writing & some went to bed about 9 nearly sick Caroline & Mary went to Frenches & was a going to Guilds, but did not go Jesse Graves came to R S Reynolds today.
“22nd Monday fine dry warm weather I did my choars choared round the office some closed up at 8 ½ & went to bed about 9 ½ nearly sick & tiered out.
“23rd Tuesday fine hot weather & verry dry I did my choars choared round office some closed up at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick.
“24th Wednesday fine hot dry weather I did my choars choared round the office some closed up at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick with cold rained some Caroline went to Naperville.”
