“13th Thursday fine winter weather some thawey I did my choars choared round some closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick with a cold.
“14th Friday A fine winter day for February I did my choars choared round the house some closed up at 8 & went to bed about 9 ½ nearly sick [in margin] protracted meeting.
“15th Saturday A fine day thawed some I did my choars choared round some closed up at 8 and went to bed about 9 ½ nearly sick with a cold [in margin] Mrs Stone & Emma came here today.
“16th Sunday A fine pleasant day & thawed some I did my choars choared round some closed up at 8 and went to bed at 9 ½ tiard & nearly sick with a cold Mrs Stone & Emma were here today Emma went to Naperville with Elder Adams.
“17th Monday pretty fine weather for Feb I did my choars choared round some closed up at 8 and went to bed about 9 ½ nearly sick with a cold Mrs Ester Stone started for Iowa this morning to see Abner & Nelson Connel & boy commenced on my cellar drean this morning.
“18th Tuesday pretty fine mild weather I did my choars choared round home some closed up about 8 and went to bed about 9 ½ nearly sick with a cold etc Jerome Beardsly wife had a son born this morning about 5 oclock weighing 10 # being married 7 months & 14 days.
“19th Wednesday fine thawey weather I did my choars choared round some closed up about 8 & went to bed about 9 ½ nearly sick with a cold Protracted Meeting My folks went came home between 9 & 10.”
