“15th Thursday A fine hot dry day & more cool in the evening I did my choars choared round home some closed up at 8 and went to bed at about 10 sick with a cold & a lame side The Methodist camp meeting commenced today down in the Babbets Woods this side of Murrrays.
“16th Friday Fine hot dry weather but some cloudy I did my choars choared round some closed up at about 8 and went to bed about 9 ½ nearly sick with a cold & lame side Wadlows wifes girle, the one that is rather simple, had a child today.
“17th Saturday A cloudy damp morning & began to rain in the afternoon & we had a fine rain I did my choars choared round some & closed up about 8 went to bed about 9 tiard & nearly sick with a lame side etc.
“18th Sunday A cloudy damp morning & day the roads are muddy I did my choars choared round the house a little, my folk went to Camp meeting with Hoys son about 10 AM & got back about ________. I went to bed about 9 nearly sick with a lame side Olen Resseguie & Susan Mulnix were married today He went to Batavia, then they & Jerome Beardsly & his wife went to the Junction & were married by the Methodist minister & they went back to Batavia & stayed all night.
“19th Monday A fine hot dry day I did my choars choared round all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 ½ tiard & nearly sick with a lame side.
“20th Tuesday fine hot weather I did my choars choared round some closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 ½ tiard & sick with a cold & lame side.
“21st Wednesday A fine warm day with a shower I did my choars choared round all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 10 nearly sick.”
