“11th Thursday verry hot dry weather I did my choars choared round some all day closed up about 8 and went to bed about 10 tiard & nearly sick.
“12th Friday A verry hot dry day everything drying up I did my choars choared round some closed up at about 8 & went to bed about 10 nearly sick Lame cow but I did not drive her.
“13th Saturday fine weather but hot & dry I did my choars choared round some etc closed up at 8 and went to bed about 10 nearly sick & worne out [in margin] cool night.
“14th Sunday A pleasant hot dry day everything a suffering for rain I did my choars eat breckfust, washed me & changed my pants & wrote some etc, went to bed about 9 nearly sick Emma Stone came here about 10.
“15th Monday pretty fine hot weather & dry I did my choars choared round the house all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick & tired out.
“16th Tuesday fine hot dry weather I did my choars choared round the most of the day closed up at 8 and went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick with a cold.
“17th Wednesday a cloudy hot day with a light shower I did my choars choared round the most of the day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 10 tiard & nearly sick with a cold.”
