“30th Thursday fine cool dry weather cloudy and damp I did my choars choared round all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 10 nearly sick with a cold.
“31th Friday A cool damp day but rather pleasant I did my choars choared round all day, closed up at 8 & went to bed at 12 nearly sick with a cold Hoyt Brown came up with Clark French from Aurora and stayed at Frenches Caroline & Emma went to Garry I got home about 11 ½.
“June 1st Saturday A cool cloudy misty day I did my choars choared round all day closed up at 8 & went to bed about 10 nearly sick with a cold Caroline & Mrs Tart went to Naperville with Clark French Mary here all night.
“2nd Sunday A cool cloudy damp disagreeable day I did my choars choared round all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 10 nearly sick with a cold Darus Bartholomews wife had a son born today about 11 oclock in the forenoon Mrs Jorden attended Emma Anesworth went to Garys to work tonight for a week.
“3rd Monday rather fine weather but cool & dry I did my choars choared round the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly sick Barrus & Charles paid 20 dols & agreed to pay 30 more to have the children carried to Iowa.
“4th Tuesday fine cool dry weather I did my choars choared round all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 oclock & about & went _______ at 10 9 sick.
“5th Wednesday fine cloudy weather & looks like rain I did my choars round the office all day closed up at 8 and went to bed at 10 tiard & nearly sick with a cold.”
