“17th Wednesday fine weather some flakes of snow fell I did my choars choared round all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 sick Barrus drew wood.
“18th Thursday fine weather with some flakes of snow I did my choars choared round the office all day closed up at 8 and went to bed at 9 tierd & sick [in margin] Mrs Ed Rogers was confied this morning with her third son and 7th child of Edward Rogers Donation at Warns.
“19th Friday fine weather for the season snows a little I did my choars choared round the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly sick & tierd [in margin] drew 1 load wood.
“20th Saturday Fine weather for winter & snowed ‘a little I did my choars choared round the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 [in margin] Barrus drew wood on a sled.
“21st Sunday fine cloudy day & the ground covered with snow I did my choars choared round the house & barn all day wrote some etc closed up at 8 and went to bed at 9 tiard & nearly sick Mrs Sarah Resseguie called here after the first meeting stayed till the second meeting.
“22nd Monday A fine cool day for winter I did my choars choared round the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 sick with cold [in margin] William Gloss wife had a daughter born this morning.
“23rd Tuesday fine winter weather for winter I did my choars choared round the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 sick with cold.”
