“24th Wednesday A rainey damp hot sultry day I did my choars choared round the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly sick & tiered out.
“25th Thursday A cloudy damp disagreeable day I did my choars choared round all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly sick & tiered out.
“26th Friday A cloudy damp muggy day & growing weather I did my choars was choaring round all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 tiard & nearly sick.
“27th Saturday A fine hot growing day I did my choars choared all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly sick Nelson Stone came & went to Wheaton.
“28th Sunday A fine hot day with some clouds I did my choars eat breckfust & went up to paster & fixed the pump came back choared round & went to bed at 9 nearly sick & worne out with the heat Elezar Stone came here & eat supper Williams cap horse died last night got hung.
“29th Monday rather fine growing weather I did my choars was round the office all day a choaring closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 tiard & nearly sick [in margin] Grat Dutch meeting in Chicago in favor of the Prucian success in War of France.
“30th Tuesday fine weather & some showerey I did my choars choared round the office all day closed up at 8 and went to bed at 9 tiard & nearly sick Wardlow 2 loads of goods come out to the Lehman house [in margin] Thurmometer one hundred.”
