“20th Wednesday pretty fine weather for winter I did my choars choared round all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 sick.
“21st Thursday rather a fine day for winter I did my choars choared round the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 tiard & nearly sick James Fairbanks wife died this morning about 2 or 3 oclock Chandlers daughter.
“22nd Friday rather a snowey day & rained at night with thunder & lightning rained hard I did my choars choared round some closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly sick & worne out.
“23rd Saturday a rainey morning the water running in brooks all round the wind blew hard in afternoon & grew cold I did my choars choared round the most of the day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 sick James Faribanks wife was buried today at the Junction G Hagaman & Lezer Stone came from Chicago here tonight & went with Emma Stone to S McKellips.
“24th Sunday rather a fine day but some cloudy & very ice & slipery I did my choars choared round some went to farm was round store the most of the day went to bed at 9 nearly sick.
“25th Monday a fine day for Christmas I did my choars was round the office & house all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly sick, D Kenyon & family were here at dinner & all went to the Baptist Church to Christ tree at night.
“26th Tuesday fine weather for winter I did my choars choared round all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly sick.”
