“18th Thursday rather backward weather but fine for March I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick & worne out with trouble.
“19th Friday cloudy damp snowey disagreeable weather I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick & worne out.
“20th Saturday A cloudy damp disagreeable day but pleasant evening I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick.
“21st Sunday A fine cool pleasant morning with ground frozen, a beautiful day but muddy bad going I did my choars was at the house the most of the day Frank Holly & ______, called & I went to the office & got a letter from Abner went to office in evening came home at 7 ½ & went to bed about 9 nearly sick & worne out with trouble & Sister [in margin] Frank A Hollern called here, and starts for Nebraska tomorrow.
“22nd Monday cool raw March & verry muddy & backward, I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick & worne out.
“23rd Tuesday rather fine for March but backward & muddy I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick.
“24th Wednesday rather fine weather but muddy I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ sick & worne out with trouble.”
