“3rd Wednesday fine growing weather I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick with a cold.
“4th Thursday fine growing weather I did my choars was round the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick with a cold.
“5th Friday fine growing weather with showers I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick with a cold & the rheumatism Carpenter came & paid George 5 dollars & surprised me a little.
“6th Saturday fine growing weather with showers during the day & evening I did my choars choared round some was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed about 9 ¼ nearly sick with the rheumatism, thundered & lightoned all night.
“7th Sunday A cloudy damp morning but a fine pleasant day I did my choars went to the farm was round home all day a choaring some S B Hill child was buried at Big Woods today at one oclock.
“8th Monday rather a fine growing time & warm I did my choars was round the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick with rheumatism.
“9th Tuesday fine growing weather & some damp I did my choars was round the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick with a cold etc Rained Griffeth commenced to fix my house Em Barrus went to Gus McKellips.”
