“10th Wednesday fine growing weather but cooler & a clearing off I did my choars was round the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick with a cold & the rheumatism grew cold towards night a cold night Griffeth worked on my house Col Warren went into Chicago to go East tomorrow.
“11th Thursday A cold morning with a light frost & a cold day I did my choars was round the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick with a cold etc Griffeth worked on house.
“12th Friday A cold windy day I did my choars was round the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick with the rheumatism Griffeth finished Griffeth finished my chimney ________ it out.
“13th Saturday a pretty fine day & getting warm I did my choars was round the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick with a cold & the rheumatism Griffeth worked at home George did nothing today nor yesterday.
“14th Sunday A cool airey day but not verry cold, I did my choars was round the office all day went to bed about 9 nearly sick Gus McKellips brought Emma Barrus up here about noon.
“15th Monday fine growing weather I did my choars was round the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed about 9 ½ nearly sick with the rheumatism.
“16th Tuesday fine growing weather I did my choars was round the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick with a cold etc Frank Wellman came here with A T Jones tonight.”
