“22nd Wednesday fine cool weather for April I did my choars was at the office all day closed up about 8 & went to bed about 9 nearly sick with the rheumatism etc.
“23rd Thursday very cold weather for the season I did my choars was round the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 about sick & had the rheumatism.
“24th Friday A cold day for April but pleasant freezes every night this week I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly sick with a cold & the rheumatism I got a letter from William J McNelly today with his & his wifes profile in it, he said nothing about Carolines being there yet.
“25th Saturday A pretty pleasant day & more mild I did my choars was round the office all day closed up at 8 and went to bed at 9 nearly sick with a cold & the rheumatism Young goos begin to set today & I set a hen last night, McGee came tonight Perry.
“26th Sunday rather a fine pleasant day water frozen over this morning I did my choars was at the house all day except I went up to the farm & back went to bed about 9 nearly sick with the rheumatism.
“27th Monday cold disagreeable weather for April & backward dry I did my choars was round the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 tiered & nearly sick with a cold.
“28th Tuesday cold raw backward weather for the season I did my choars was at the office all day, closed up at 8 & went to bed about 9 tiard & nearly sick with a cold & the rheumatism.”
