Historical Society's Spring Tea: The History of Barbie
Spring Tea Fundraiser! This year’s event will be held on Saturday, April 20th at noon at the Warrenville VFW Post 8081. We are excited to welcome back popular historian Leslie Goddard presenting her program “Barbie: The History of America’s Most Famous Doll.” In this illustrated lecture, Goddard delves into the history of Barbie and her inventor, the passionately creative – and intensely competitive -- Ruth Handler.
Always a wonderful time, this event helps to fund our annual scholarship and Historical Society programming. Space is limited and seats are filled based on availability. Contact Sara at info@warrenvillehistorical.org or (630) 393-4215 if you would like to host a table or to purchase a ticket at $25.00 a piece. The Tea is supported by a Warrenville Hotel Tax Fund Grant.
