“29th Thursday fine winter weather with the ground covered lightly with snow I did my choars was round the office all day choaring closed up about 8 & went to bed at 9 ½ sick.
“30th Friday fine winter weather with snow squalls I did my choars choared round the office the most of the day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick with a cold.
“31st Saturday fine winter weather I did my choars was round the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed about 9 ½ sick Ed & Henry Rogers killed my hogs they hevey weighed 405 pounds.
“February 1st Sunday A cool cloudy day & snow squalled in afternoon & evening I did my choars choared round some & went to bed about 9 ½ nearly sick with a cold I salted my pork down today Ed Rogers helped cut it up.
“2nd Monday fine winter weather rather poor sleighing I did my choars choared round some was at office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed about 9 ½ nearly sick with a cold Rogers hawled 1 load ________ wood Emma Barrus went to Bristol.
“3rd Tuesday fine winter weather but poor sleighing I did my choars was round the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed about 9 ½ nearly sick with a cold. Edward Rogers hauled 5 loads of wood for me & H Rogers cut 5 loads of wood on a sled.
“4th Wednesday fine winter weather but poor sleighing I did my choars was round the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick with a cold Edward Rogers drew me 5 loads wood on a sled & Henry Rogers cut it.”
