“4th Thursday A cold windy day froze hard I did my choars was round the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 ½ sick.
“5th Friday More pleasant & quite fine I did my choars choared round some closed up at 8 ½ & went to bed about 10 sick Paver & H Rogers killed my cow today in afternoon and Mrs Stone went to Frenches in afternoon Ben Paver & Spader had a row.
“6th Saturday A fine cloudy day & snowed some in evening I did my choars choared round some was at office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed about 9 sick.
“7th Sunday A cloudy damp day I did my choars choared some up to place came back wrote some etc cut up beef at night & went to bed about 9 sick I made out a deed to send to Hoyt Brown & Frank.
“8th Monday rather fine weather for the season I did my choars choared round some closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 ½ sick.
“9th Tuesday fine weather for Dec. all mud I did my choars was at office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 ½ sick & tiered out Myron Caswell a student at Jenny Seminary from Mass hung himself ___________ Montgomery.
“10th Wednesday fine warm rainey weather mild for Dec I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 and went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick.”
