Hiram E. Leonard Diary, November 6 - 12, 1873

6th  Thursday  fine weather for November  I did my choars choared round the office some closed up at 8 ½ and went to bed about 9 ½ nearly sick with a cold  R B Pollard was here with McWane to get bail.

7th Friday  Fine weather for the season  I did my choars choared round the office some closed up at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½  Nearly sick with a cold  rained some in afternoon.

8th Saturday  a pretty fine day but some cloudy  I did my choars choared round some set some posts for howel etc closed up about 8 ½ & went to bed about 10 oclock nearly sick with a cold  Emma Stone came up with Wm Gloss from Naperville & stayed all night.

9th Sunday  A cloudy damp day with a cool air  I did my choars went to the place etc was round home the most of the day about 9 nearly sick  Emma Stone was here & went to Naperville with Burton  D Pollard was married to Eva Hadly this morning at Wheaton.

10th Monday  A fine cool dry day for November  I did my choars was round the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed about 9 ½ tiard & nearly sick.

11th Tuesday  fine cool weather for November  I did my choars choared round some closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick with a cold.

12th Wednesday  fine cool dry weather for the season  I did my choars was round the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick with a cold etc  Gary & Herick went to Sycamore to the sheep court.”
