“23rd Thursday fine cool dry weather I did my choars was round the office all day closed up at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick & tiered out Mary Tart went to Cass with Jud Graves.
“24th Friday fine cool dry weather I did my choars was round the office all day closed up at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick.
“25th Saturday A fine cool day I did my choars choared round the office some closed up at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick & tiered out Mary Tart came back from Cass The Dunkards had a General Meeting today & night at their church & washed feet tonight Warrens folks came out from Chicago.
“26th Sunday A cool cloudy rainey morning & damp day I did my choars choared round some and went to bed about 9 nearly sick with a cold & the tooth ache Dunkard General Meeting today at their church.
“27th Monday A cold raw day & spit snow towards night & in the evening I did my choars was round the office all day closed up about 8 ½ & went to bed about 9 ½ tiard & nearly sick with a cold snow squally Hudson got through husking corn on mine.
“28th Tuesday A cold raw snow squalley day & night I did my choars was round the office all day closed up at 8 ½ & went to bed about 9 ½ nearly sick.
“29th Wednesday cloudy raw disagreeable weather I did my choars choared round some at the office closed up about 8 ½ & went to bed about 9 ½ nearly sick Col Warren went to Chicago.”
