“30th Thursday cold winter weather I did my choars was round the office all day closed up at 8 and went to bed about 9 ½ Mrs Ira Herrick was buried at Wheaton today Manford preached funeral sermon at 2 oclock.
“31st Friday pretty cold winter weather I did my choars choared round the office all day closed up about 8 & went to bed about 9 ½ nearly sick with a cold Rena Jones & her husband came from Iowa got here tonight.
“February 1st Saturday A cold winter day I did my choars choared round the office all day closed up about 8 & went to bed about 9 ½ nearly sick.
“2nd Sunday A fine clear beautiful pleasant day with a kean cold air, a bad Candlemus day I did my choars choared round some and was up to the other places some called at Kenyons, and went to bed about 9 nearly sick with a cold clear Candelmus Miss Godrey and Mary Tart called here about 3 ¼ in afternoon Spader & wife & Mrs Ackerson went out to Josh Staffords.
“3rd Monday rather fine weather for winter but cold I did my choars choared round some closed up at about 8 & went to bed about 9 ½ nearly sick with a cold.
“4th Tuesday fine cold winter weather I did my choars choared round some closed up about 8 and went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick with a cold Mrs Nancy Warren died tonight at 10 oclock in evening amost 88 years old 88 next Sunday.
“5th Wednesday pretty fine winter & more pleasant I did my choars choared round, closed up about 8 & went to bed about 9 ½ nearly sick with a cold Mrs Wolf had a daughter born tonight Earnest Wolff’s wife John Billings came here.”
