“25th Thursday fine weather some cloudy & hot I did my choars choared round all day closed up at about 8 & went to bed about 10 tiard & nearly sick with a cold etc.
“26th Friday A fine growing day & hot I did my choars choared round some all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 ½ tiard & nearly sick with a cold etc Mrs Stone went to T M Manning and stayed today & tonight.
“27th Saturday fine growing hot weather I did my choars choared round all day closed up at 8 & went to bed about 10 tiard & nearly sick with a cold Mrs Stone came from T Manning in the stage & went to Naperville & back then went to the artists on the river & had her picture taken Eleazer Stone & Jane McKellips came Emma Barrus stayed Frenchs.
“28th Sunday A cloudy muggy hot day I did my choars choared round some was in the house the most of the time went to bed about 9 ½ nearly sick & worne out Clark French brought Emma Stone & Em Barrus here Mrs Stone & others were here Emma Barrus got home about 11 from ___________ with Clark French, Mrs Stone went to Oak Park.
“29th Monday rather fine hot weather & dry weather I did my choars choared round the most of the day closed up at 8 & went to bed at about 10 tiard & nearly sick William Collins twin boy died this morning early.
“30th Tuesday fine hot dry weather I did my choars choared round the most of the day closed up at 8 and went to bed at about 10 tiard & nearly sick [in margin] rained some today.
“31st Wednesday fine weather for July I did my choars choared round some closed up at about 8 & went to bed about 10 tiard & nearly sick Chester Smith was taken sick about 5 or 6 oclock this afternoon he could not speak or moove was helpless apoplax like.”
