“25th Thursday rather fine cool dry weather I did my choars choared round all day closed up at 8 & went to bed about 10 tiard & nearly sick with a cold Caroline & Mrs Tart went to Naperville in the stage & came back afoot about 8 oclock at night.
“26th Friday rather a fine cool dry day I did my choars choared round all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at about 10 tiard & nearly sick with a cold.
“27th Saturday fine cool dry weather but cloudy in morning & rained conciderable during the day, broak away a night I did my choars choared round all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 10 tiard & nearly sick with a cold.
“28th Sunday rather a fine cloudy day & looked like rain I did my choars choared round some set out some willow sprouts in forenoon in the hollow toward Jerry F Pollard & choared round & went to bed about 9 tiard & nearly sick with a cold.
“29th Monday fine cool dry weather for the season I did my choars choared round all day closed up at 8 and went to bed at 10 nearly sick with a cold Willa Barrus came here from Stricklands tonight.
“30th Tuesday fine cool dry weather for April I did my choars choared round the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 10 tiard & nearly sick with a cold.
“May 1st Wednesday rather fine but cool weather for May I did my choars choared round the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 10 tiard & nearly sick.”
