“24th Thursday fine pleasant weather for the season I did my choars choared round some closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 ½ tierd and nearly sick with a cold Solomon Williams wife had her third 3 child born today.
“25th Friday pretty fine for October I did my choars choared round some closed up at 8 and went to bed about 9 ½ tiard & nearly sick Henry Rogers finished husking corn today or Eds hands finished for him.
“26th Saturday fine dry weather for the season I did my choars choared round some closed up at 8 & went to bed about 9 ½ tiard & nearly sick with a cold Mrs Mariam Ward went to St Charles to Dr Coons & went & got her fortune told etc.
“27th Sunday A fine warme day for the season & dry I did my choars choared round some and went to bed about 9 tiard & nearly sick with a cold Cabel Battles brought Mrs Ward home from St Charles, Jerry Dady helped me fix my pumps today Eaton Manvills wife had a child born in about 4 months after being married.
“28th Monday fine weather for the season I did my choars choared round some closed up at about 8 and went to bed about 9 ½ tiard & nearly sick with a cold Eaton Manville’s wife had a child born in less than 4 months after being married, they were married the 27th of June & child was born some week or two ago.
“29th Tuesday rather fine weather for Oct I did my choars choared round some closed up at 8 and went to bed about 9 tiard & nearly sick with a cold Caroline went to Naperville to get her carpet yarn today.
“30th Wednesday rather fine weather with a cool raw air I did my choars choared round some all day closed up at 8 & went to bed about 9 ½ nearly sick with a cold Jerry F Pollard & Jont Pollard drew manure for me all day.”
