“20th Wednesday fine pleasant cool dry weather I did my choars choared round the office all day closed up at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 nearly sick, John Strickland & wife G Barrus & mother went to Bristol to see their relations [in margin] to Childs.
“21st Thursday A fine day but cold & some windy & verry dry I did my choars choared round the office all day closed up at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 nearly sick Jessee Graves started for Indianna today about one oclock R S S Reynolds carried him.
“22nd Friday a fine pleasant cool windy dry day the dust flew terably I did my choars choared round the office all day closed up at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 nearly sick & tiered [in margin] some went to Geneva fair Barrus & Strickland came back from Bristol today stayed last night at Aurora.
“23rd Saturday A fine pleasant dry day I did my choars choared round the office all day closed up at 8 ½ and went to bed at 9 nearly sick & tiered out.
“24th Sunday A fine pleasant warme day & verry dry I did my choars choared round the office all day put up wine some & went up to Pelhams & wrote some Emma Anesworth & Caroline went after butternuts I went to bed about 9 nearly sick & worne out.
“25th Monday fine cool dry weather I did my choars choared round the office all day closed up at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 tiard & nearly sick.
“26th Tuesday fine cool dry weather verry dry I did my choars choared round the office all day closed up at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 tiard & nearly sick.”
