“19th Wednesday fine weather & a getting pretty dry I did my choars choared round the office all day closed up at 8 ½ and went to bed at 9 tiard & nearly sick & worne out.
“20th Thursday fine weather for haying a light shower last night I did my choars choared round the office all day closed up at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 nearly sick.
“21st Friday fine hay weather & warme I did my choars choared round the office all day closed up at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 tiard & sick Mrs Holenbeck at ________ died.
“22nd Saturday A fine day with a cool air I did my choars choared round the office all day closed up at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9, tiard & nearly sick Mrs Emma Anesworth went to Aurora today to Mrs Holenbecks funeral with wind wall [in margin] Mrs Holenbecks funeral at Aurora my red checked heifer yearling went to the bull today.
“23rd Sunday A fine pleasant cool day & a getting verry dry I did my choars choared some round the store & celler wrote some, washed bottles some etc went to bed at nearly sick Tart went his son in laws today & wife [in margin] Elezer Stone here today.
“24th Monday A fine pleasant hot day I did my choars was round the office choaring closed up at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 nearly sick & tiered out Mr Kenyon went C Barrus & got ________ cider mill.
“25th Tuesday fine warm & verry dry weather everything a suffering, I did my choars choared round the store, all day closed up at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½.”
