“18th Wednesday fine cool weather & extremely dry I did my choars choared round all day closed up at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 tiard & sick [in margin] Eliza McNelly married to Chris Galaxion a Norwegian in Iowa.
“19th Thursday fine cool dry weather I did my choars choared round all day closed up at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 tiard & nearly sick Mrs Paver was quite sick with influenza to Pavers [in margin] Emma Anesworth went to R_______.
“20th Friday fine dry weather & cool I did my choars choared round all day closed up at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 tiard & nearly sick & tiered [in margin] A ball at Perry quite a turnout French & Stone propriaters.
“21st Saturday fine pleasant weather & verry dry I did my choars choared round all day closed up at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 nearly sick [in margin] Mrs Paver had a babe born tonight before time but alive.
“22nd Sunday A fine pleasant day & extremely dry People drive their cattle for 3 or 4 miles to the river to water them I did my choars was round home all day except going to the farm to milk, went to bed at 9 nearly sick & tired out [in margin] Barrus went to York Center Caroline went up to Barruses went up there as Emma was sick.
“23rd Monday fine cool weather for Oct but cool & dry I did my choars choared round the office all day closed up at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 tiard & nearly sick.
“24th Tuesday fine cool dry weather I did my choars choared round the office all day closed up at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 tiard & nearly sick.”
