“19th Thursday fine hot dry weather I did my choars was at the office a choaring round all day closed up at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick.
“20th Friday A fine hot dry day a little cool in the evening I did my choars & choared round the store all day closed up at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ sick.
“21st Saturday A fine hot dry day showers round, I did my choars was choaring round all day closed up at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick etc Caroline & Willa went to Naperville to get some things & got back at about 7, Mrs Wadaman cursed them.
“22nd Sunday A fine hot dry day we have had no rain to do any good for several weeks verry dry, I did my choars was at home at the store all day wrote some red some etc went to bed at 9 nearly sick, Barrus wife & mother & Mr Childs his uncle came here after meeting & took supper he lives near Orin Bristol, Mr Childs road out with Mrs Stone, they went to Naperville & back in evening got home at 10 oclock in evening.
“23rd Monday A fine dry day & hot I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ sick & worne out & tiered out.
“24th Tuesday fine hot dry weather I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick & worne out.”
