“5th Wednesday A fine cool day I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly sick etc.
“6th Thursday fine weather for the season som cool I did my choars was at the office all day choaring closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly sick.
“7th Friday fine weather for Oct I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly sick I got a letter from Caroline, Connel worked on my cistern in forenoon.
“8th Saturday fine weather I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 and went to bed at 9 nearly sick Paver worked for me Mrs Stone came to T Mannings today to clean house.
“9th Sunday A fine forenoon but cloudy in afternoon I did my choars went up to C Reynolds at 9 ½ got back a little before noon in afternoon went to T Mannings to see Mrs Stone came back & eat dinner at Barruses came home choared round wrote some & went to bed about 9 tiard & sick.
“10th Monday rather a fine day some cool I did my choars was round the office all day a choaring cloased up about 8 & went to bed about 9 nearly sick & tiard [in margin] Caroline wrote a letter A woman came to keep house.
“11th Tuesday fine weather for the season I did my choars was at the office all day choared round some closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly sick [in margin] Caroline mailed a letter.”
