Hiram E. Leonard Diary, August 5 - 11, 1869

“5th 6th & 7th Thursday Friday & Saturday  rather fine weather for dog days  some cloudy & misty  I did my choars was at the office all the time came home 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick & worne out etc  Procter left Friday so said.

“8th Sunday  rather fine weather  I did my choars was at the house all day a choaring round etc went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick & worne out.

“9th Monday  fine weather  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick etc.

“10th Tuesday  fine cloudy dog day weather  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ sick.

“11th Wednesday  fine weather for dog days  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick & worne out.”
