“24th Thursday A wet disagreeable day I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick & worne out with trouble.
“25th Friday A disagreeable day & wet I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick & worne out with trouble.
“26th Saturday A wet disagreeable day with heavey showers in morning & afternoon & evening, a heavy shower about 4 which filed my store celler half full [in margin] Baly suit continued.
“27th Sunday A cloudy damp showerey forenoon I did my choars choared round the house & fixed fence etc was at the office once or twice came home in the evening & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick the Stone boys came as usual & louted round a while.
“28th Monday rather fine weather but cloudy & muddy I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick & worne out.
“29thTuesday rather fine weather ground wet I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick & worne out with trouble Gustus Manning & Frank Grant went to Chicago today together.
“30th Wednesday rather fine but some showers & wet I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick etc Gustus Manning & Frank Grant some think were married today in Chicago or Indiana.”
