“17th Thursday rather a fine day but muddy I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly worne out with trouble Balys trial commenced today by selecting the juror they got 10 today.
“18th Friday rather a fine day with heavey showers in afternoon & evening I did my choars was at the office all day & came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ sick Eliza went to Wheaton with Laura Bostwick.
“19th Saturday A cloudy damp day with heavey showers near night & evening a heavey wind about sunset I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ sick & worne out Caroline & Sarah Resseguie went to Wheaton with horse.
“20th Sunday A steddy rainey morning & forenoon verry wet & muddy I did my choars choared round the house the most of the day went to the office came back & went to bed about 9 nearly sick heifer went to bull.
“21st Monday wet disagreeable muddy weather I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick & worne out with trouble [in margin] Baly having his trial.
“22nd Tuesday A damp disagreeable damp day & muddy I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick & worne out.
“23rd Wednesday rather a fine pleasant day the best we have had for 2 weeks I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ sick etc [in margin] Mair took ______ horse the second time.”
