“29th Thursday fine April weather some rainey I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ and went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick & worne out again.
“30th Friday A fine cool April day I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick & worne out with trouble & Sister.
“May 1st Saturday A fine cool day for May I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick & worne out with trouble etc. [in margin] heifer calved.
“2nd Sunday A fine cool pleasant day I did my choars was at the house till near noon when I went to the office & back was round the house went to the office in the evening came home & went to bed at 9 nearly sick & worne out with trouble John Duck was down to the store.
“3rd Monday fine weather for May but cool I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick & worne out.
“4th Tuesday fine weather but cool nights I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick & worne out.
“5th & 6th Wednesday and Thursday fine weather but cool I did my choars was at the office all days came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick & worne.”
