Paint the 'Ville Closing Reception, December 8, 2019

     Join the Warrenville Historical Society for the closing reception of our special “Paint the ‘Ville” plein air painting competition exhibition on Sunday, December 8, 2019, from 1-4pm at the Warrenville Historical Museum & Art Gallery.

Over the 2019 summer the Historical Society welcomed eleven plein air artists to Warrenville for our first outdoor painting competition Paint the ‘Ville. The creations showcase historic and scenic points in Warrenville.

The work follows in the footsteps of Adam Emory Albright, who helped establish Warrenville as a popular location for the outdoor plein air style in the early 1900s.

Artists featured in the exhibit include Eddie Corkery, Tina Druce-Hoffman, Carolyn Dunn, Pamela Hamilton, Kuhn Hong, Priscilla Huang, Kathi Kuchler, James Kullman, Irene Peterson, Julie Skoda, Jean Yang.

The public is welcome to vote for their favorite piece during the exhibition which will run through December 8th. This program is co-curated by 2017 Albright-inspired Artist-in-Residence  Maggie Capettini and is supported by a City of Warrenville Hotel Tax Fund Grant.
